You’re doing more than you think. But let’s make sure you’re doing it in a way that feels aligned and peaceful—not just productive.

A recent study in the Journal of Psychiatric Research showed that people who practiced just 10 minutes of intentional breathwork and mindful movement per day saw a marked reduction in anxiety symptoms in just six weeks. Why does that matter? Because when stress runs the show, we start making decisions from survival mode, not purpose. The science confirms what many of us know deep down: small, steady self-regulation shifts the way we feel, not just the way we function.

Right now, I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling the stress of the world pretty heavy. It’s not subtle. It’s not tucked away. It’s right here—in the headlines, in our conversations, in the collective tension that hums beneath even our most “normal” days. And in the middle of it, we’re still expected to show up, stay positive, keep producing, and somehow not fall apart. No wonder we feel off.

I remember a time when I was preparing for a keynote, juggling clients, and managing family life—trying to be everything to everyone. I was working out, eating clean, doing all the things... and yet I still felt scattered. Disconnected from the very passion that fueled me in the first place. I realized I was performing peace, not practicing it.

That moment was a wake-up call. I didn’t need another planner or protein shake—I needed a pause. A pattern interrupt. Something that brought me back to me.

So, if you're feeling overwhelmed or out of sync, here are a few things that can help bring you back to center:

✨ 5 Peaceful Power Shifts to Realign & Reconnect

  1. Move with breath. Try 3–5 minutes of simple breathwork—like box breathing (inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4). Do it standing, walking, or stretching.
  2. Do one thing slowly. Make your coffee with intention. Fold laundry while listening to music. Slow down the task and speed up the peace.

  3. Name what’s true. When anxiety swells, ask: What’s actually real right now? Name three things that ground you in the present.
  4. Reach out. Call a friend, send a kind message, or check on someone else. Serving others is one of the fastest ways to reconnect with purpose. It reminds us we’re not alone—and that we have something to give.
  5. Do one micro-move. Big changes start small. Drink the water. Write the email. Take the walk. Just one action can shift your entire energy.
You’ve already done the hardest part: you started. But this is just the beginning.
