Quote of the Week: “Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.”
– Babe Ruth
When I was a kid, my family played a lot of whiffle ball. (If you don’t know what a whiffle ball is, it’s basically a plastic baseball with holes.)
It made a lot of sense to play with a ball like that in our backyard because there was a lot less chance of collateral damage, such as black eyes, broken windows, etc.
I remember being up at bat and just hoping and praying for the perfect pitch so I could hit a home run and bring everyone home. The ultimate dream, right? A grand slam and the game hero.
We can dream, right, Kate?

And yet, there is the real world. How rarely do you get that great pitch?
You know that feeling when life throws you a curveball, and instead of freaking out, you hit it out of the park? That’s agility in action. And that just feels awesome.
But wait, what do I mean by agility anyway?
It’s the ability to adapt and stay resolved while retaining clarity of purpose.
And what is agility NOT about? Being perfect.
Agility is about rolling with the punches and making lemonade when life hands you lemons. It’s about being that person who thrives on change, not just survives it. It means you keep stepping up to the plate and keep swinging.
So, how do we level up on our whiffle ball game called LIFE?
I’m glad you asked!
Here are the actionable tips to stay agile and win:
– Learn and grow: Every challenge is a chance to level up.
– Surround yourself with amazing people: Their energy is contagious.
– Celebrate small wins: Progress over perfection, always!
– Stay curious: Keep exploring and learning new things.
– Embrace the unexpected: Life’s a rollercoaster, so buckle up and enjoy the ride!
Remember, you’re capable of incredible things, Kate.
So, go forth and conquer.
Stay agile!
Kate
