Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, family, and delicious food. While it’s important to enjoy the festivities, it’s equally crucial to prioritize your health and well-being. By fueling your body, mind, and spirit, you can make this Thanksgiving a truly memorable one.

Fuel Your Body

  • Mindful Eating: Savour each bite and listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if you’re indulging in alcoholic beverages.
  • Incorporate Movement: Take a short walk after your meal or do some light exercise.
  • Balance Indulgences: Enjoy your favorite Thanksgiving dishes in moderation.
Boost Your Mind
  • Practice Gratitude: Take time to reflect on the things you’re grateful for.
  • Manage Stress: Prioritize self-care, like meditation or deep breathing.
  • Prioritize Sleep: Ensure you get enough rest to increase clarity and focus.
Nourish Your Soul
  • Deepen Connections: Have heart-to-heart conversations with loved ones.
  • Be Present: Listen actively and engage in meaningful interactions.
  • Embrace Openness: Be receptive to new perspectives and understanding.
A Personal Note

This Thanksgiving will be a bit different for me as I’ll be spending it in Atlanta, away from my usual traditions. While I’ll miss my family and friends, I’m excited to embrace new experiences. I’m also preparing for a fitness competition on December 21st, so my Thanksgiving feast will be more turkey and less… my favorite- candied sweet potatoes!.

If you’re curious about the journey to competition, check out my video series here!

Remember, a happy Thanksgiving starts with a healthy and grateful heart.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Blessings to all!
